Star Trek Into Darkness: Extended/ Alternate International Trailer & a fun side note fact

Following the release of the new international trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness a few days ago, Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot Productions (via the latter's Twitter feed) have decided to give fans more in the form of an "extended/ alternate" version of the same trailer, filled with more action and explosions that show just how serious things are going to get for the U.S.S Enterprise and Starfleet.

Trailer's right below, followed by a fun side note about some of the actors in the film who are legends in their own right and have both done pretty awesome roles.

Spot the differences? Check it out again, and compare to the other trailer!

On that fun side note, we have Bruce Greenwood reprising his role as Admiral Christopher Pike and Robocop actor Peter Weller playing Starfleet Admiral Marcus.

The common denominator between the two? Both have voiced and played the character of Batman for the DC Universe Animated Original Movies, with Greenwood voicing in Batman: Under The Red Hood and Young Justice, while Weller recently played the older Batman in the animated adaptation of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part I and Part II!

You have TWO BATMEN on the set of a Star Trek film directed by J.J. Abrams... How AWESOME is that?

Star Trek Into Darkness warps into theaters on May 17, 2013!
