The Walking Dead: Season 4 EW covers; Glenn & Maggie; and Bob Stookey images online

As the San Diego Comic Con officially kicks off in the US with "Preview Night", more juicy material on the popculture spectrum continue to pop up online, including stuff from AMC's hotly anticipated new season of "The Walking Dead"!

With the trailer to the 4th season slated to premiere at SDCC this Friday, the good folks of Entertainment Weekly saw it fit to release their latest issue, with not just one cover featuring protagonist Rick Grimes, but two others as well that feature his son Carl Grimes and fan favorite original character in the TV Series, the redneck crossbow wieldon' Daryl Dixon! What's more, new images appear as well, featuring zombie killing couple Glenn Rhee and Maggie Greene, as well as the new guy Bob Stookey.

Of course, the cover shown on top is Rick, played once again by Andrew Lincoln, with his signature Colt Python in hand and the same hidden knife he carried to eliminate walkers (as well as his former partner Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal) in Season 2). The one above features Chandler Riggs back as his somewhat estranged son Carl Grimes, looking much older and changed thanks to the zombie apocalypse and his experiences in the Prison in Season 3.

Finally, here's the cover most fans of the TWD Live Action series would probably want to get... Norman Reedus looking badass and back as the Poncho wearing Daryl! Now that his brother Merle Dixon (played by Michael Rooker) made the ultimate sacrifice in Season 3, this Dixon is firmly dedicated to his new family of survivors, and is Rick's trusted right-hand man in all things. Here's hoping the trailer to Season 4 doesn't disappoint come Friday!

And here's a pic of Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) making out from SHH and EW.

And finally, here's an image of new character Bob Stookey, played by Larry Gilliard Jr. and different from the comic book counterpart he's based on. According to the article in EW and featured in Superherohype, he'll be found by Daryl just before Season 4 opens, and will have a dark background and air to him that will play out when the series begins. How and what that is, we'll have to wait and see.

The Walking Dead returns this October with Season 4! Be sure to watch out for more juicy details on the upcoming new season  when news comes from the TWD Panel this Friday at the SDCC '13!
