DC Comics' resident water-based superhero
Aquaman is often ridiculed for his powers and not given the proper respect by general audiences. All that changed during
Peter David's run back in the late 80's, and then the aforementioned run by Johns and reestablishing the superhero identity of
Arthur Curry as one of importance and once again making him a founding member of the New 52 incarnation of the
Justice League.
